Description
A balanced pair of Louis XVI–style bedside tables distinguished by their elegant proportions and restrained neoclassical detailing. Each table opens at the waist with a single drawer fitted with a central knob, the gently curved drawer front softening the otherwise architectural lines of the design. The shaped apron reinforces the refined silhouette characteristic of the Louis XVI style.
The tables rest on four slender, turned legs that taper neatly toward the floor and are joined by a shaped crotch shelf, providing both structural stability and additional surface area. The lower shelf mirrors the curvature of the front, creating visual continuity throughout the piece. Crafted in wood with a warm, even patina, the surfaces highlight the simplicity and clarity favored in late 18th-century-inspired furniture.
Versatile and practical, these tables function equally well as bedside tables or small occasional tables. Their clean lines and modest scale allow them to integrate seamlessly into classic, transitional, or contemporary interiors while retaining their French neoclassical character.
This is an antique and having been around for a long time, it will show signs of wear. Antique pieces have very much sought-after character and associated flaws. Please review photos for condition & contact us with questions! -
