Description
This rare modular shelving system by Strafor (Forges de Strasbourg) exemplifies post-war French industrial design with its clean lines and functional engineering. Constructed in lacquered metal, it features adjustable shelves mounted on a clever rack-and-rail system. Designed to be freestanding and usable from both front and back, it is ideal as a room divider or central library unit. The aesthetic balances utility with a restrained modernist elegance. Notably, this model appears in a period photograph taken in the studio of the architect Le Corbusier, underscoring its relevance within the canon of modernist design. Its modular nature allows for flexible configurations in both domestic and professional interiors. Two units available, priced individually.
