Description
A Swedish neoclassical style painted wood chest of drawers from the mid-19th century, with guilloche motifs and fluted side posts. Created in Sweden during the third quarter of the 19th century, this painted chest features a rectangular top sitting above a guilloche frieze carved on three sides. Three simple drawers, fitted with classical hardware, are flanked with fluted side posts. Resting on short tapered and fluted feet, this chest is painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes. With its clean neoclassical style lines and delicate carved decor, this Swedish three-drawer chest circa 1865 will bring a touch of relaxed elegance to any bedroom or living room.
