Created circa 2014 by Dutch artist Mathieu Nab for The Jane restaurant in Antwerp, this sculptural bar element embodies a strong dialogue between material and form. Carved from solid wood, the piece is shaped into a compact, rounded triangular volume, where mass and proportion take precedence over ornament. The deeply charred surface reveals the natural grain, cracks, and irregularities, enhancing the tactile quality of the material.
