Description
A period Louis XIII French walnut side table with single drawer and barley-twist legs from the mid-17th century. Born at the end of the reign of King Louis XIII, father of the Sun King, this exquisite French walnut table features a rectangular top with beveled edges, sitting above a simple apron, adorned in its central part with a single fluted drawer opening thanks to a wooden pull. The top is raised on a stylish barley-twist turned base with square block joints, accented with a cross stretcher of the same style. The ensemble is raised on four bun feet. With its graceful silhouette and rich walnut patina, this French Louis XIII side table, circa 1650 will bring a distinguished touch to any home, from a living room to a bedroom.
