Description
An unusual English 18th century fruitwood lowboy or dressing table having richly molded top over three drawers and solid sides, finished with molded feet. Good color and rich patina. Overall of very architectural form. circa 1760.
This lowboy exhibits several characteristics of West Country construction , notably the slab sides, which are often found on dressers from Somerset, specifically in and around Bridgewater. -
