Absolute outstanding 20th century Art Nouveau mahogany mirror console from the famous Viennesse Secession period in Austria around 1905. This huge mirror console is an architectural masterpiece and was elaborately crafted by the world renowed company of Julius & Josef Hermann. A fantastic shaped substructure made of beech wood has been veneered with finest mahogany. The artfully designed base consists of two distinctive "box" elements on the left and on the right, adorned by exceptional looking, inlayed brass pattern. A lower middle part with a compartment underneath graced by two small columns on each side - reminding us of a temple - builds the perfect place for having a seat to tie your shoes. The full length facet-cutted mirror with a height of 69" has an impressive mahogany frame decorated with two narrow columns with shining brass ends. It still holds the original mirror plate which shows some aging spots, confering this mirror an unmatching charm. On both sides of the top you can additionally find these mesmerizing inlayed geometric brass patterns, giving this extraordinary, eye-catching 20th century Vienesse secession floor mirror a real special appearance. An absolute exclusive and rare piece of furniture from the world famous Art Nouveau period in Vienna/ Austria.
