Cleo Baldon wrought iron and blackened oak 42" tripod based dining table hand crafted at her South El Monte workshop in the late 1960s.
The level of quality and attention to detail in all aspects of her construction is atypical of much outdoor furniture.
From the chamfered edge of the blackened oak plank top (image #11) , to the planks being bolted and reinforced with wrought iron bands running perpendicular to the underside of the planks (image #5), to the quality of the welds of the iron frame (image #8), to the hammered foot details (image #9) distinguish this as a Terra produced Cleo Baldon table.
The 4 or 5 companies that produced cheaper copies of her furniture that are frequently mis-attributed to Terra do not have the construction details that are her trademarks.
This is a substantial table which may be used for dining or as a game table.
The table is in very good condition.
