The Giraffe Console Table is shown here in solid walnut with ebony pegs and ebonized accents. The elegant form is comprised of many distinctive handmade details that complement the beautiful walnut grain.

The long, gracefully curving legs are joined to the arched aprons with flush, "haunchd" joinery -see first detail image. The lower curved stretchers are formed of bent laminations and are notched and joined with ebony pegs where their ends join to the lower side rails. In the center, the stretchers support an 8" x 20" walnut display shelf with the assistance of two ebonized (blackened) "cradles".

The beautiful solid walnut top is fitted with functional breadboard ends and joined with the assistance of ebony pegs. The overhanging ends are slightly proud of the tabletops width and thickness with a heavy "thumbnail" profile undercut on its edge.

This table could be recreated in other woods and finishes and its dimensions could be adjusted. Please contact me to discuss and order.
