A rectangular dining table by Italian designer Ettore Sottsass made in Italy in the 1960s. Composed of four light blue feet with a black base. The round top is executed in laminated wood. A great contrast arises due to the different colors. The smooth black and blue base make another great contrast to the top with beautiful wooden laminated veins.

Ettore Sottsass (1917-2007) is an Italian architect and designer. Among others, he is known as the founder of the Memphis Group, which is celebrated for its eclectic, Postmodern designs in furniture. The designs of this period feature irony, bright colors, and scale distortions.
Notable Memphis design collectors included fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld and musician David Bowie. After Bowie's death in 2016, his collection was auctioned off at Sotheby's for a total of £1,387,000.
