Description
"ONE OF A KIND" mid-19th century three pedestal banquet table. Quadruped center pedestal and tripod end pedestals; all on ball and claw feet. Acanthus carvings and crisp decorations, including the bull-nosed table top edge moulding. Bench made mahogany, secondary wood red pine. 'Marble' top meticulously covered with multiple layers of lacquer in natural looking greenish tones, with veins of lighter coloration. Middle Atlantic States origin. Comfortably seats ten. A set of ten American Chippendale Revival dining chairs is simultaneously offered. This table and set of ten chairs may also be 'repurposed' for a conference room or boardroom.

Period furniture and decoration spanning four centuries and three continents, galleried in a 1754 National Register of Historic Places house in Woodbury; Connecticut's long established "Antiques Capital”. Five decades of antiques collecting experience in a succession of Historic Register homes in Virginia, New York, and Connecticut; and a 1901 beaux arts building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Open Thursday through Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and on Tuesday and Wednesday by appointment. -
