Description
Frederick Parker & Sons Scalloped Side Table in Solid Oak England Early 20th Century
This is a remarkable arts and crafts side or coffee table in solid oak with a very distinct and wonderfully carved scalloped and curled up solid oak table top. It dates back to the early 20th century and was made in England, by Frederick Parker & Sons - the high end furniture maker now known as Parker Knoll.
Featuring a very elegant design, this table is defined by its sculptural table top in solid oak with curled up and carved edges. Very well made - to get it looking this way it took a lot of wood, work and effort. A mesmerizing piece of work and a joy to look at - a true testament to the craftsmen at Frederick Parker & Sons.
Please also note the very elegant pronounced legs and the cross stretcher underneath - which would on its own be a captivating and defining detail on any other side table - only to be surpassed by the unusual and beautiful table top on this particular table. All in all, a very interesting and desirable arts and crafts design.
The table comes in a good and original condition.
