-
Description
Dimensions: 29 ⅜” H x 38 ⅞” W x 21 ⅛” D
A petite, leather-topped mahogany writing desk dating to the 19th century in the Louis XVI style, with hidden extensions on each side to add occasional surface area. Framed by turreted corners, the leather surfaces of the top are a neutral, camel-tone outlined in gold tooling, which suits the beautiful striations of the mahogany grain. One small drawer occupies the case–retaining a working lock & key–bookended on each side by small panels all with brass trim for definition. Four, fluted legs (of classic Louis XVI design) taper elegantly down to the floor ending in brass sabot feet. At home or in an office, this antique writing desk will be a pleasure to work from. Cleaned, tightened, and polished with a French paste wax, ready to join your interior. Please view the detailed images.
