French 19th Century Round Walnut Drop Leaf Dining Table
-
Description
A beautiful round walnut drop leaf dining table, made in France circa 1850. The table is made of solid walnut with wonderfully expressed graining and boards which were book matched, creating balanced interest. There is a single drawer housed within the apron, accessed with a pull of its turned wooden knob. Metal rings can be pulled to extend the supports for the drop leaves. With the leaves up, the table makes a wonderful dining table. It would be ideally suited for smaller groups and would be perfect for a breakfast room. The long, linear legs are tapered and terminate at brass capped feet, equipped with casters. This table has been tightened, cleaned and polished with a French paste wax. Be sure to view the detailed images for a look at the table’s current condition.
