French 19th Century Two-plank Top Farm Table
-
Description
Dimensions: 28 ⅝” H x 128 ⅜” W x 39” D
An outstanding country farmhouse table from 19th century France, handcrafted from solid oak and aged to a black walnut tone. The top planks–made of only two parallel boards–have been shaped to rounded corners and exhibit a weathered softness revealing original saw marks and generations of patina that feels inviting to the touch. Built to host an abundance of food and guests (ideal for 10 people), a total of six turned legs distribute the weight of the table with a leg at each corner and two thoughtfully positioned in the center. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax to preserve the unique patina, ready to be admired in your interior. Please view the detailed images to see the current condition as the top shows evidence of a number of honest repairs and one corner is slightly turned up.
Apron clearance: 24 ½” -
