French 19th Century Walnut Side Table

Dimensions: 27 ⅞” H x 26 ⅞” W x 19 ½” D

A walnut side table crafted in France in the 1890s. The paneled top is in good condition with minimal signs of wear and stunning woodgrain, which continues into the table’s apron. The front of the apron houses a single drawer that spans the table’s width and depth. Its original lock is intact, but its key has been lost to time. The drawer can be easily opened from underneath. Visible on the table’s short sides are the wooden dowels inserted to secure the legs and apron together. The turned tapered legs are topped with doric capitals beneath the apron and capped with small bulbed feet. With its fine craftsmanship and timeless design, this table is suitable for a range of spaces and decorating styles. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready for use in your interiors. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
