French 20th Century Louis XVI Style Flat Desk

Made in France in the twentieth century, this Louis XVI style flat desk is constructed in wood, with two pull-out slides at the sides and a frieze fitted with three drawers, the central drawer with a lock. The neoclassical lines of the Louis XVI style are seen in the restrained form and tapering legs. The flat-desk format, with a clear working top, suits use in the center of a room or against a wall, and the pull-out slides extend the surface when needed.
