Description
Made in Sweden in the nineteenth century, this table has a top measuring approximately twenty-nine inches in length by twenty inches in depth and is finished with carved detail visible on both sides. The carving gives the table decorative interest from multiple viewpoints, suiting it to placement where it can be seen from more than one side. The proportions make it suitable as an occasional, side, or small centre table in a sitting room, hall, or bedroom. Swedish furniture of the period is known for its restrained forms and honest construction, and the carved detail here adds a decorative dimension to a practical piece. The timber has developed the patina associated with age. Suited to both period and plainer modern interiors, the table provides a working surface with decorative carving, and its modest dimensions allow it to fit comfortably into a range of positions within a room.
This is an antique and having been around for a long time, it will show signs of wear. Antique pieces have very much sought-after character and associated flaws. Please review photos for condition & contact us with questions! -
