Condition: Very Good
Rare and sculptural polished steel "Jason" coffee table by Gary Gutterman for Axius Designs. Designed by Gary Gutterman in 1973, this coffee table is a remarkable sculpture and functional piece of furniture. Comprised of a ribbon-like seamless 4" wide polished steel sculptural base and original 3/4" thick glass top. The glass top has a 37" long slit allowing the steel base to intersect the top vertically and protrudes 2" above the surface of the glass. The steel table base is in excellent condition with very minimal wear. The glass top does show chips around the slit opening, as is often the case with the design of this particular table and inherent from the cutting process at that time of production. No heavy scratches to the glass top. Glass surface 16" H. Overall an excellent example of the unique and uncommon design by Gary Gutterman! -
