Gio Ponti Writing Desk in Walnut and Brass for the BNL Offices, Italy 1940s

    A rare and collectable walnut desk with brass ferrules designed by Gio Ponti and produced by Schirolli (Mantova - Italy) in the 1940s for the Banca Nazionale del Lavoro (BNL - National Bank of Labour).
    With 4 drawers on each side of the desk and a longer one in the middle just below its top, this desk is a typical example of the Ponti's way of thinking lines and proportions.

    The writing desk has been completely restored preserving its original grain and patina. It preserves both the authentic formica top and its metallic numbered plaque. Excellent overall condition, ready to use in a elegant office.
