Description
This rare pair of 1960s oval side tables—stenciled HERITAGE and dated 9-69—showcases the warm, organic beauty of pecky cypress paired with sculptural wrought-iron craftsmanship. The tops are made from solid pecky cypress, identifiable by the elongated vertical voids and tunnel-like markings naturally formed in the wood. The result is a distinctive surface with rich golden tones, subtle grain movement, and the dramatic, rustic character unique to cypress.
Each top rests on an elegant hand-forged iron base composed of four sweeping strap-iron legs that curve inward and meet at a circular stretcher. The metal retains its original textured gilt finish with a beautifully aged patina—warm, mottled, and authentically 1960s. Broad brass-tone rivet mounts secure the bases to the tops, adding a subtle industrial accent that complements the organic wood.
Substantial in form yet visually open, this pair is perfectly scaled as end tables, side tables, or low cocktail tables. Each measures approximately 28" L × 20" W × 16" H, and the oval profile makes them easy to float in a room or use flanking seating.
A rare matched pair from Heritage Furniture’s late mid-century production, these tables blend rustic materials with refined sculptural lines—ideal for interiors ranging from modern organic to mountain, coastal, or eclectic. -
