Description
Here the theme of the coffee table with magazine rack, which the author Ico Parisi first dedicated his attention to in the late 40s, is rethought and proposed in a more functional and innovative solution.
The Dione table features two levels of overlapping supports: a horizontal one formed of two separe crystal sheets and another formed by two upwardly inclined wooden tops joined together on the central axis. The tops are linked to the side edges through milling on two sides only, a solution giving an overall effect of lightness. The elegant structure is rendered isostatic and balanced thanks to the staggered and overlapping jointing of edges, united by recessed cylindrical socket-head screw which link the lower crosspieces to the legs.
The latter are in solid wood, rounded and sculpted into a hexagonal section and conclude on the gorund with square feet.
Good condition, original in all its parts.
We recommend wooden crate for protection of the glasses.
