Design
The console is composed of two defining elements. Its base features a fluted, fan-shaped pedestal in dark wood, detailed with vertical brass inlays that draw the eye upward. Resting on three shaped feet, the lower structure is both functional and sculptural, offering a sense of movement and weight. The top extends far to each side, giving the piece its unusual width. Smoothly contoured, the wooden top includes two elongated oval cut-outs that add rhythm and lightness to the design. These cut-outs are not purely decorative—they reinforce the console’s dynamic lines and give it an open, architectural feel. Viewed from above, the proportions are generous yet balanced, allowing it to serve as a commanding presence in a hallway or gallery-like setting. The contrast between the dark wood and the brass accents is refined, creating a sophisticated dialogue between materials.
