Description
With the goal of creating pieces of high-design that differed from contemporaries such as Knoll and Herman Miller, Irving & Leon Rosen founded the Pace Collection in 1960. They looked to the simplicity of materials to be the voice of their collection, all expertly fabricated and finished. Polished metals and high gloss exotic veneers were commonplace and to this day remain unapologetically Pace.
While this table may be conservatively sized, it is substantial in its materials. The chosen materials in both density and overall size come together to form a table which is classically Pace. A gorgeous 3/4” thick piece of glass is gracefully rounded at each corner which simultaneously accentuates it’s columnar legs and provides soft-edge safety. This large piece of glass is supported by four solid lucite legs which have tops capped in polished nickel and are secured to solid disks atop the glass. The assembly of Glass, Nickel, and Lucite is a timeless marriage of materials which speaks to how ahead of its time the Pace Collection truly was.
This table remains in its original condition exhibiting signs of wonderful patina. No chips can be found in the glass, there is however wear consistent with age and history. The nickel hardware is beautifully patinated, a look we love, however upon request we can arrange for it to be professionally polished like new; please inquire for more information. -

Message from Seller:
Stories exist in many forms, we see them in objects. The aesthetic of those before us is passed down through their surviving creations. These are the objects we search for; to preserve, refine, & continue the story. Object Refinery combines design obsession, fine craftsmanship, and a love for history in our worldwide search for objects. Based in Connecticut, USA; we partner with a network of local artisans to restore and refine our findings before passing them on to the next collector.
