Description
An elegant and highly collectible vintage wrought iron patio dining table designed by Mario Papperzini for Salterini, showcasing the timeless sophistication that made Salterini one of the premier names in luxury outdoor furniture during the mid-20th century. Crafted from solid steel, the table features Papperzini's signature hand-forged details, including sculptural oval motifs along the apron, gracefully intersecting stretchers, and finely textured faux-bamboo wrapped legs that exemplify the designer's refined craftsmanship.
Retaining its beautifully aged original verdigris finish, the table displays an authentic weathered patina with areas of paint loss and oxidation acquired through decades of outdoor use, adding warmth and character that cannot be replicated. A custom tempered glass top provides a clean contemporary surface while allowing the elegant ironwork to remain fully visible.
The restrained yet architectural design makes this table exceptionally versatile, pairing effortlessly with Mario Papperzini for Salterini dining chairs or complementing a variety of outdoor seating. It is equally compelling indoors in a sunroom, conservatory, breakfast room, or garden-inspired dining space. Its understated elegance blends seamlessly with Mediterranean, Spanish Revival, Hollywood Regency, Neoclassical, Mid-Century Modern, Traditional, and Contemporary interiors.
Highly sought after by interior designers, landscape architects, collectors, and discerning homeowners, authentic Mario Papperzini designs continue to appreciate for their enduring craftsmanship, sculptural forms, and timeless appeal.
Condition
Vintage condition consistent with age and outdoor use. Retains the original verdigris finish with expected oxidation, scattered paint losses, surface wear, and a beautifully developed patina. Tempered glass top included. Structurally sound and ready for immediate use. Apparently unsigned.
