Description
'Metafora' coffee table by Massimo and Lella Vignelli, 1979
The coffee table support with four forms of the Euclidean geometry; all in solid marble: a cube, cylinder, sphere and a pyramid. The four elements are independent and can be positioned freely as one desires. The bases are made from Carrara marble, nero marquina and Breccia marble and support the 1/2" thick glass circular surface.

You'll find works by the finest 20th century makers, such as Osvaldo Borsani, Gio Ponti, Mario Bellini, Paolo Buffa, Angelo Mangiarotti, Afra and Tobia Scarpa, Willy Rizzo, as well as pieces which simply exhibit timelessness, great form and beautiful craftsmanship. -

There is a 1/4" old restoration at the top of the pyramid nero marquina piece of marble. Wear consistent with age and use.
