Description
Available today, this beautiful side table from Novo Rumo has a symmetrical design and is made of bent Brazilian Rosewood, as known as Jacaranda with chromed metal finishes. The top is made of smoked glass top, very characteristic of the time. Side table and coffee table set are also available separately.
The images include contemporary publications showcasing the timeless piece in different settings. Besides the marks of time, the table is in excellent condition.
About Novo Rumo…Francesco Scapinelli, architect, and ceramist, after working for years with his oldest brother, the established designer, Giuseppe Scapinelli, founded Studio Novo Rumo, in São Paulo.
Studio Novo Rumo produced furniture at an industrial scale with excellent quality and materials such as Jacaranda of Bahia, used in many of his best pieces. Sometimes Novo Rumo pieces can be mistaken for L’Ateliers. This is because several L’Atelier employees left L’Atelier to work with Scapinelli at the newly founded Novo Rumo.
Novo Rumo pieces have sharply increased in popularity in recent years-- being currently styled by many top interior designers around the globe. A quick search online will yield a treasure trove of these pieces being used in several stunning midcentury modern, modern, or contemporary environments.
