Description
n the early 1960s, Osvaldo Borsani designed an extremely simple coffee table for his company Tecno: a metal structure (legs and top frame) that was used for both square and rectangular tables, as well as circular ones, in marble and brass, and in burnished metal and wood. The table we present here has a circular rosewood top, 90 cm in diameter, resting on a three-legged burnished metal frame. This version is particularly rare, as under the top are three drawers, which were not included in the original model. Since the drawers are made of the exact same wood as the top (color, grain pattern), we assume it was a custom made by Tecno itself for the original purchaser, and not a later addition.
