Description
This is an outstanding near pair of Chinese Sancai terra cotta pedestals or stands. This pair dates to the early 20th c. and has acquired a rich natural patina. The green Sancai glaze highlighted by ivory and deep blue makes these pedestals great eye-catchers. Although most probably intended for garden use, the pedestals would make a great statement indoors or out. One pedestals is slightly larger and lighter in tone than the other.
