Description
Introducing the captivating mid-century Brazilian modern side table, expertly crafted by Percival Lafer in the 1970s, and available for purchase today! The dark-toned wood accentuates its exquisite natural wood grain, further enhancing its visual appeal. Impeccably refinished, the wood exudes a pristine condition. With its sleek and minimalist design, this side table seamlessly integrates into any home decor style. Embodying the essence of mid-century Brazilian modern furniture, it combines minimalist aesthetics and the use of Brazilian hardwood. Whether you're seeking a stunning addition to your home or expanding your mid-century modern collection, this side table offers an exceptional choice.
Born in Brazil on April 12th, 1936, Percival Lafer studied at the Mackenzie Presbyterian University College of Architecture in São Paulo. After graduating, his father passed away, and he and his brothers took over Móveis Lafer, his father's furniture company. Móveis Lafer, where Percival designed a wide range of products, played a substantial role in Brazilian furniture in the second half of the 20th century. Innovations in technique and form resulted in standardized elements reused in different product lines, with solutions such as demountable and easy-to-transport products. The market welcomed Percival's creations, and the rapid industrial growth made it possible to export the pieces. The designer currently lives and works in Campos do Jordão, Brazil.
