Description
The T35A dining table by Pierre Chapo, crafted in France in the 1970s, is a refined and compact version of his iconic T35 design. Made from solid elm, this table showcases Chapo’s signature aesthetic with four elegantly spiraling cross legs radiating from the center - a structural and sculptural hallmark. The meticulously crafted joints at the edge of the tabletop are not only functional but serve as striking visual accents, exemplifying Chapo's masterful joinery. Ideal for more intimate spaces, the T35A retains all the strength, proportion, and presence of its larger counterpart.
Pierre Chapo was a visionary French designer renowned for blending modernist ideals with traditional woodworking techniques. His work is deeply rooted in natural materials, especially elm, and guided by architectural precision and proportion based on the golden ratio. Chapo's designs are admired for their robust construction, sculptural simplicity, and refined craftsmanship. Today, his creations are celebrated as icons of 20th-century French design. -
