Postmodern Italian Fiberglas Coffee Table After an Antique Corinthian Capital

Description
This clever low table is made of molded Fiberglas and is painted distressed white to look like the ruins of an ancient capital from a Corinthian/Ionic mixed column. The distressed paint is intentional and adds to the theme. The base measures 24"D x 24"W x 16"H. The overall measurements including the glass top are listed above. The item consists of the Fiberglas base and the glass top.
The table is crisply molded and at first glance appears to be made of wood or plaster. It's ironic, irreverent look is a prefect Post-Modern statement made with the advanced materials of the 1950s and 1960s. In person, the glass top is clear, but appears in some of these photos to have a greenish tint besides the green of the edges. The top has beveled edges and rounded corners, and the base is attractively distressed to add a note of antiquity.
It will fit in with most any décor, and will add a touch of Italian quality and charm to your room. -
