Description
This set of three nesting coffee tables, from the 1980s, reflects the postmodern interest in geometric articulation and expressive form. Each table is constructed in oak and features a faceted top composed of angled planes, creating a subtle play of light across the surface. The bases are defined by softly curved cut-outs and tapered legs, introducing a contrast between the sharp geometry of the tops and the more fluid structural elements. Designed to nest seamlessly, the three tables offer flexibility in arrangement.
The set aligns with the broader context of Italian postmodern design, where traditional materials such as wood were reinterpreted through a more sculptural and experimental lens. The combination of precise craftsmanship and formal exploration suggests an approach informed by the architectural thinking of the period.
