French Modern Shagreen Console Table by R&Y Augousti, Paris
Materials: Shagreen sheets on wood
Organically shaped French modern shagreen console table with four legs, signed by R&Y Augousti, Paris.
This stunning and rare free standing console is made of wood covered in shagreen. The top is has an interesting patchwork pattern. Both sides are curved. Repitilian like shape.
Ria and Yiouri Augousti use a mix of unconventional fabrics, exotic skins and shells to create the modern vintage style that has become the signature of Augousti.
R&Y Augousti revived the use of shagreen, originally found in antique Art Deco pieces, in a completely modern style. Their avant-garde pieces of furniture have brought new life to the exotic material.
