ROGER CAPRON FRENCH 1970'S CERAMIC TILE COFFEE TABLE MODEL CUVETTE WARM COLORS
-
Description
Roger Capron French ceramic tile coffee table model Cuvette.
This table is composed of tiles that each exhibit the strong influence of the fire in the kiln and vary in colors of warm caramel, pale brown, beige, tan. The tiles have a central motif running down the middle and then additional individual tiles that form the frame or border that gently slope upward and over the sides. A true architectural and complicated arrangement. The variation in color would work well in any decor. The grout is a warm white.
Created in his studio in Vallauris circa 1970.
Excellent condition. Signed R Capron

Message from Seller:
Pavilion is the collective vision of Deborah Colman and Neil Kraus, both graduates of the master of fine arts program at the Art Institute of Chicago. From a longstanding interest in art and design, frequent buying trips to France and Italy have influenced the direction of the gallery to offer items that are not easily sourced in Chicago and United States. Postwar design has been the focus for 18 yrs and we also look forward to new design that crosses boundaries and dialogues as well to the past
