Description
This rustic Brutalist farm table was crafted in France during the early 20th century and exemplifies the straightforward construction principles of traditional provincial furniture. Executed in solid oak, the piece is defined by its elongated silhouette, thick plank top, and robust supporting structure. The surface displays a richly aged patina with expressive grain movement, tonal depth, and visible traces of prolonged use that reinforce the table’s raw and elemental character. Its clean linear framework, anchored by square legs and low stretchers, creates a strong sense of balance and permanence.
Originally intended for everyday domestic use, the table now lends itself naturally to contemporary interiors that value material integrity and understated sculptural form. Seating 6 to 8 people comfortably, it functions equally well as a dining table or large communal centerpiece. The simplicity of the construction emphasizes the weight, texture, and natural beauty of the oak, allowing the piece to retain a quiet yet commanding presence. All our rustic furniture has undergone a two-cycle preventive woodworm treatment for long-term care and preservation. - More Information
