Description
Rustic oak coffee table dating to the mid-20th century, characterised by its substantial timber construction and low rectangular proportions. The thick tabletop is composed of broad wooden planks, supported by four heavy, squared legs. Recessed metal bolts punctuate the outer frame, while additional structural connections remain visible beneath the top. The construction is direct and robust, with exposed joinery and the weight of the timber defining its architectural character.
The oak displays a rich variation of warm brown tones, pronounced grain, natural fissures and traces of age that contribute to its individual character. The contrast between the lighter tabletop and darker supporting structure further emphasises its sculptural proportions. Rooted in the tradition of vernacular furniture, the table combines practical construction with a strong material presence. All our rustic furniture has undergone a two-cycle preventive woodworm treatment for long-term care. -
