Spanish 19th Century Solid Oak Dining Table
-
Description
Dimensions: 28 ⅝” H x 70 ¾” W x 31 ⅛” D
A multipurpose Spanish fratino table from the 19th century in handsome oak construction with stretchers of wrought-iron for dining, as a center table, or writing desk. Thick top planks are in remarkable condition, smooth and clear to appreciate the grain patterns only interrupted by the tops of square peg joinery and a few honest repairs in the knots. An exquisite base made of splayed, carved lyre legs is bridged with sculptural wrought iron stretchers that bypass each other, swinging from the underside of the top planks to meet the opposite leg ending in a short scroll pinned with a bolt. Whether used as a dining table, work table or console, this Spanish refectory table will impart elegance and history to any room. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready to join your interior. Please view the detailed images for the current condition.
Distance between feet: 55” -
