Description
A rectangular Spanish Baroque style chestnut trestle table with solid plank top, raised on harp-shaped trestle bases joined by wrought iron x-form stretchers with scrolled decorative elements. The chestnut surface shows wear consistent with age and use, including marks and a warm, aged patina. The substantial proportions and shaped supports reflect the restrained provincial Baroque lines characteristic of mid-19th-century Spanish furniture. Spain, circa 1850.
