A refined and possibly unique game or card table attributed to the Finnish interior architect and designer Carin Bryggman. This exceptional piece originates from a private residence that featured custom furnishings commissioned from Bryggman. The square-form table stands slightly lower than a conventional dining table, creating an intimate and inviting setting for games, cards, or leisurely gatherings.

Elegantly designed, the table features four drawers positioned at each corner, seamlessly integrated into its structure. Each drawer is fitted with a removable brass ashtray, reflecting the thoughtful details characteristic of Bryggman’s work. Additionally, the drawers include wooden stands, perfect for holding playing cards or other game pieces, blending functionality with understated sophistication.

The table remains in very good original condition, retaining its authentic charm and craftsmanship. The warm patina of the wood and the softly aged brass accents speak to its careful use and preservation over time.

Carin Bryggman (1924–2011) was a pioneering Finnish interior architect and designer known for her refined aesthetic and meticulous attention to detail. A graduate of the Institute of Industrial Arts in Helsinki, she established herself as a leading figure in Finnish interior design, working on prestigious residential and commercial projects. Her work often combined modernist principles with timeless elegance, resulting in pieces that feel both contemporary and enduring.
