Description
A true design classic, this Vladimir Kagan Snail Coffee Table is a sculptural statement piece with curves in all the right places. Crafted from steam-bent wood with a rich walnut veneer, its coiled form is both organic and architectural—perfect for those who appreciate furniture that doubles as art.
Designed in the 1960s, this table has been a favorite among collectors and designers alike, sitting comfortably in the same league as Milo Baughman’s sleek silhouettes and Karl Springer’s luxurious finishes. And if you’re dreaming big, picture it perfectly placed between two of Kagan’s iconic Cloud Sofas—the ultimate modernist pairing.
This table features a round glass top (47.5” in diameter), a popular choice among designers who wanted to emphasize its rhythmic, concentric form. While the original design included a square top, most opted for the softer, circular shape, and we completely understand why. If a different size is preferred, we’re happy to provide a brand-new custom glass top free of charge.
As for condition? It’s in beautiful vintage shape with just the right amount of character—minimal wear consistent with age, but nothing that takes away from its timeless appeal.
A piece like this doesn’t just fill a space; it defines it. Whether paired with Kagan, Baughman, or Springer, this table holds its own in any high-design setting. -
