    England c. 1745.

    Wonderful and rare pair of English Finely Carved Mahogany Console - Sidetables in the period and typical manner of William Kent (considered by many to be the master of design in the 18th century). Each with old Verde Antico Marble Tops,above a leaf moulding and a Vitruvian scroll carved frieze .The wonderful lions monopodia support carved with a lions mask of such impeccable carving suggesting a master artist at work.
    Note - Stunning Rich Mahogany Colouring with Rich Natural Patina ... Note - some minor hidden repair and structural reinforcement underneath tops and plinths.

    Literature: This section at present being investigated due to enormous mass of literature pertaining to William Kent.
