Description
England UK c. 1735.
A truly Important and Magnificent Early Georgian Period Exquisitely Carved Giltwood Sidetable / Console Table of Immense Proportions, retaining almost all of the original gilding with a later dramatically figured Breche Marble Top. A superb example of English Elite Furnishings of the Kentian period which was suitable only for the great country residences in the first quarter of the eighteenth century.
Provenance
Purchased by direct contact with the Ecclesiastical Offices: ie The Church - Baldock Hertfordshire who in the 19th Century received the table from a notable Essex Family.
