It is difficult to date Navajo (Dine’) sandcast bracelets. One must rely on the whether or not the bracelet has stones, the setting of the stone, the quality of the stone. The Navajo began casting silver into jewelry in late 19th century and they began adding stones in the early 20th century.
This bracelet is beautiful, with 3 central trapazoidal quality turquoise stones. The stones are set in a plain silver bezel and the turquoise is clearly natural. This bracelet is coming from a Private Collection and is being offered for the first time in many years. -
