Description
An exceptional parure in 18-karat gold with partial rhodium finish, comprising a necklace and a pair of pendant earrings, executed in the aesthetic of the Late Empire style and inspired by historic masterpieces of European Haute Joaillerie. The suite is set with an impressive collection of natural cushion modified-cut emeralds framed by diamond clusters, creating the timeless diamond halo setting motif. The necklace is designed as a graduated composition of two rows of emeralds linked by articulated connectors set with old-cut diamonds. The principal emeralds display a rich, saturated green colour characteristic of fine-quality stones and reveal the distinctive internal characteristics traditionally referred to in gemmology as jardin. Each emerald is encircled by a halo of diamonds, producing a continuous brilliance while enhancing the remarkable depth and intensity of the central gemstones. The matching earrings faithfully echo the design of the necklace and are composed of two vertically arranged emerald clusters connected by diamond links. Their articulated construction creates a graceful movement, producing the lively scintillation that is a hallmark of high jewellery craftsmanship. Particular attention should be drawn to the finely pierced reverse of each setting, executed in an openwork gallery design, allowing maximum light to enter the gemstones. This sophisticated construction is characteristic of jewellery of the highest standard and further emphasises the exceptional level of craftsmanship throughout the suite. Hallmarks: Require further examination. Dimensions: Necklace length approximately 41.5 cm. Earrings height approximately 38 mm. Weight: Total weight approximately 116 g. Gemstones: Natural cushion modified-cut emeralds, total weight approximately 105.28 carats; approximately 592 old-cut diamonds, including Old European Cut and Transitional Cut, total weight approximately 50.78 carats, estimated colour H-M, clarity VS-SI. Condition: Good condition. Minor signs of age and wear consistent with careful use. Gemstones securely mounted. Construction fully functional.
