Offered for sale is a very whimsical and unusual Lapel watch in the shape of an early Penny-Farthing bicycle. Made of 18K yellow gold, platinum with diamond and ruby accents. The watch measures 1 1/4'' x 1 3/4''. There is a patent number (120558) on the crown of the watch. To view the time, you tilt back the rider which allows the watch/wheel to pivot down so that you can see the watch face. A very clever design indeed. We believe this was made around 1950s. No makers mark but etched along the bottom is Made in England. Accompanied by a Gem Lab Appraisal certificate. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
