About Dennis Duffy:
Dennis Duffy is the Principal of Duffy Design Group, Inc. He began his design career in the Miami Design District, while taking a break from his intended path to medical school and having completed an undergraduate curriculum in Chemistry. Finding the world of interior design intriguing, Dennis moved to New York City, and enrolled in a certificate program at Parsons School of Design. “Being trained in science my entire life, but also having a family background of artists, interior design, for me, was the marriage of both!” He worked in a small residential firm during the next couple of years, while in school and in 1989, he opened his own design studio. He focused on both residential and commercial projects, both in New York and San Juan, PR. In 1996 he transitioned to Boston and joined the interior design studio of Repertoire, before striking back out on his own in 1999, as Duffy Design Group, Inc. He has passed his NCIDQ (National Council of Interior Design Qualification) certification, as well as accreditation as a LEED Professional. He has served on the board of directors for the New England Chapter of IIDA (International Interior Design Association) and as well as the Director of Education for the chapter.
