Bert England (1907-1995) was an American industrial designer and architect. He was born in New York City and studied at the Pratt Institute and the New York School of Fine and Applied Art (now Parsons School of Design).
 
England was a versatile designer who worked in a variety of fields, including furniture design, product design, and architecture. He was particularly interested in the relationship between design and technology, and he often incorporated new materials and manufacturing processes into his designs.
 
England's work was characterized by its sleek, modernist aesthetic and functional simplicity. He was an early proponent of modular design and his furniture designs were known for their clean lines, geometric forms, and practicality.
 
Throughout his career, England received numerous awards and recognition for his design work, including the prestigious Good Design Award from the Museum of Modern Art in New York. His designs continue to be celebrated today as examples of innovative and influential modern design.
