Description
A large wood mask on custom iron stand with a dramatic presence. The Bobo mask is from Burkina Faso used in ceremonial dance. The mask is finely carved and decorated with polychrome. Likely a piece that was made for native ceremonial dance and later retired into the decorative trade. Post 1960's, but possible 1970-80's. The African tribal art are sold as interior decorative pieces.
