Description
An authentic wood Buddha head with old lacquer finish and gilt displayed on a metal and Lucite stand. The style of the facial expression strongly indicated its origin to be from Laos or border area of neighbouring countries. The icon features a point face, arched eyebrow, a subtle smile, long earlobes that touch the shoulders. The ushnisha is now missing and some residual of gold leaves on the face remains.
The head itself is 12.5 in height. -
